Spin doctors have been employed by climate deniers to spread confusion amongst the electorate. Just enough to enable voters who are worried about money and their retirement to have clean enough conscience to vote greed. We call this fraud and those politicians fraudsters, with a deliberate agenda to deceive the voters, to get themselves elected. Politicians with vested business interests, should not be allowed to stand for election because of the obvious conflict with their oath of office.
Where some politicians aim to get re-elected as climate change deniers, we believe that an educated electorate will not be fooled by propaganda, that allows the uninformed to believe that continued growth and prosperity can continue unabated and will not harm the planet, despite the millions of animals that are being killed every year as deserts expand and thousands of species that are becoming extinct as a result.
Just how mesmerized can an electorate be? Well, judging by the US and Donald Trump being elected, anything is possible with the right snake-charmer painting a picture of a promised land full of $dollar bills, as manna from heaven, in fact black sludge from Texas donkeys and carcinogenic soot from diesel exhausts.
They say there is no cure for stupidity. We believe them, and hope the stay in hospital for the intellectually challenged is relatively short and painless. There is no cure for cancer either.
Those of us on planet earth who are better informed, might decide to act responsibly and elect politicians who listen to the international scientific community, rather than love the feel of a fatter wallet. Though a fat wallet is useless when food becomes scarce. Although a fat politician might make a tasty meal when there is no food in the shops and civilisation collapses as a result. We've all seen panic buying as a result of oil prices rising and fuel rationing, and newly, because of Covid 19. Remember that feeling of panic as the supermarket shelves emptied?
Cases of polar bears killing and eating each other are on the rise in the Arctic as melting ice and human activity erode their habitat, according to a Russian expert: “Cases of cannibalism among polar bears are a long-established fact, but we’re worried that such cases used to be found rarely while now they are recorded quite often.” Source: Ilya Mordvintsev, a polar bear expert, quoted by Interfax news agency. Hydrogen powered electric buses are becoming very popular. With exchange refuelling using high pressure gas cartridges, or liquid hydrogen cartridges, coaches and trucks might have unlimited ranges. We hope this is a topic of discussion at the forthcoming UN COP 26 in Glasgow, Scotland in November 2021.
CHANNEL HOPPER - Electric ferries and river boats like the proposal above, could supplement solar and wind power, with hydrogen batteries to boost performance and reduce transit times, with refuelling at each end of a journey - but also with renewable performance of around 10 knots in reserve. Many fleet operators are now looking to hydrogen as a long term solution. Hydrogen batteries could be stacked for such endeavour.
All shipping could have been green hydrogen powered by now. Ships have a 15-20 year lifespan, before they become embarrassing rust buckets. MARPOL cleaner air laws are shortening the lifespan of dirty ships, looking for a complete fleet overhaul by 2050, but with targets we'll not meet for 2030-40. And that is because we are too comfortable, weathering the increase in temperature, because it feels like it is not happening. Sadly, it is!

oxygen which constitute it, used singly or together, will
